Bryant was engaged to investigate the damage experienced by a 200-acre solar power electrical generation facility in Dunnsville, Virginia following a significant storm event. The damage included excessive erosion and runoff of sediment onto nearby protected wetlands. To investigate these failures, Bryant analyzed the storm water management plans, collected soil samples and performed testing on the samples, conducted an aerial photogrammetric survey to collect photographic and elevation information, performed a watershed delineation, and calculated stormwater and sediment runoff using HydroCAD.
Bryant was able to determine that the distress was caused by improper installation of sediment control structures.
