Slope and Retaining wall movement in El Paso, Texas

On behalf of the general contractor, Bryant Consultants investigated a 140-foot-tall slope and a 35-foot pile retaining wall after movement in the slope and the pile wall was observed. Bryant performed an investigation that included a drone survey, resistivity profiles and soil borings. To evaluate the stability of the slope and the pile wall, our team analyzed the hydrology and groundwater movement at the Site and performed a finite element analysis of the slope and the pile wall.

Bryant found that the slope and the pile walls were unstable and a threat to the safety of the construction workers and occupants near the site. Bryant recommended evacuation of the residents of the houses at the top of the slope.
